Viperdet MS 33

Updated: October 28, 2024

Product Description

Initiating systems. Short MS. Viperdet MS 33″ units are 33″ of shock tube with a millisecond in-hole detonator on one end.

Application

The units are used together with a detonating cord downline and/or a sliding delay primer.

Shock tube: Orange, coiled for ease of deployment and the avoidance of tangles. The shock tube is built to resist high-tensile strength and elongations, reducing possible damage under normal-use conditions.

Label tag: Laser printing provides clear and smudge-resistant timing and product information.

Guidelines For Use

Cut the detonating cord downline from the spool before loading the rest of the explosive material into a blast hole or beginning any other tie-in activity.

Cut the detonating cord trunkline from the spool immediately following completion of the tie-in activities.

Use a square knot or double wrap square knot (depending on detonating cord strength) for attaching cord to the Viperdet MS 33".

Maintain slight tension on the detonating cord downline to bypass the delay and to keep cord away from the booster while loading the borehole.
