Product Description

Packaged Detonator-Sensitive Emulsion for Reactive Ground. Innopak RG is a wax-based, perchlorate- free emulsion that is solid sensitized for an increased level of resistance to excess shock from adjacent blast holes. It is designed for use in surface and underground applications where reactive ground conditions are present.

Application

The water-resistant characteristics of the Innopak RG make it suitable for use in small-diameter wet holes.

Nominal density: 1.20 g/cm³
VOD: 4000 m/s to 6300 m/s (13 100 ft/s to 20 700 ft/s) dependent on application, diameter, confinement and density.

Guidelines For Use

Handling

First aid:
Refer to Safety Data Sheet for first-aid information.

Safety:
All explosives are classified as dangerous goods and may cause damage to property, personal harm, or death, if not used correctly.
Transportation, handling and storage: All explosives must be transported and stored in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

Product Risk Profile:
Classified as hazardous substance, dangerous goods with mass-explosion hazard.

Never load a borehole containing hot or burning material.

Risk of explosion by shock, friction, fire, or other ignition sources.
Never force explosive materials into a borehole.

Never attempt to fight explosives fires.

Operating Temperature

Temperatures above 68 °C (150 °F) could be dangerous.

Storage

Innopak products should be kept at temperatures between –15°C (5 °F) and 55°C (131 °F) prior to initiation.

Shelf life: 12 months from date of manufacturing stored at temperature conditions between –20 °C (–4 °F) and 40 °C (104 °F).

Stable under normal storage conditions.

Packaging

Innopak RG is available in a wide variety of lengths and diameters. Loading density is ideal for sinking in wet holes.
