BME Introduces Centralised Blasting System (CEBS) to the AXXIS Range

BME, a leader in the explosives and blasting solutions industry, has expanded its AXXIS electronic detonation product line with the launch of the AXXIS Centralised Electronic Blasting System (CEBS).

Commitment to Innovation
This new system reflects BME’s dedication to developing advanced blasting technologies, to offer a wide variety options to its customers. AXXIS CEBS complements the existing AXXIS product range, offering miners a premium digital detonator system, suitable for various blasting applications.

“AXXIS CEBS is a premium digital detonator system for initiating explosives, augmenting our popular AXXIS Titanium system for large deep-hole surface operations, and AXXIS Silver for smaller blasting operations. It represents the safest initiation technology available globally.”

Enhanced Safety and Functionality
Designed for underground mining environments, AXXIS CEBS prioritises safety, programmability, and user-friendliness. The system facilitates real-time, two-way communication between the blast and the surface for comprehensive monitoring and data transparency.

Centralised Blasting Management
AXXIS CEBS utilises a surface-based blast controller to monitor and report all blasting data. An underground logging device logs detonators and conducts necessary tests, with information relayed to a blasting box and then to the control box for centralised management of the entire blasting process from the surface.

“Information from the logger is transferred to a blasting box and on to the control box, which manages the entire blasting process from the surface. AXXIS CEBS is designed for enhanced control, precision and safe blasting – with enhanced safety, ease of use and flexibility.”

Improved Efficiency and Streamlined Workflows
AXXIS CEBS enhances efficiency by establishing a central blasting point, saving time during blast setup and execution. The system boasts full two-way communication, enabling superior monitoring of the entire blasting process.

Key Components and System Features
The AXXIS CEBS system includes an AXXIS UG Logger, AXXIS CEBS Key Logger, AXXIS CEBS Blasting Box, and BME’s Blastmap Underground blast design software. It functions seamlessly with BME’s AXXIS electronic delay detonators, which utilise two-core double insulated downline cables for increased safety against electrostatic discharge and high induced ground currents.

BME: A Global Leader in Blasting Solutions
BME’s dedication to technological innovation, combined with its extensive technical services offering, solidifies the company’s position as a preferred global blasting partner for leading mining operations.
